Pilots master the art of precision. The massive mechanical planes they guide rely on precise conditions and attention to detail to maintain safety. One degree of variation in coordinates can be the difference between arriving safely on land or crashing into the sea.

Several RV industry segments also rely on precision. Whether correctly lining up a hitch, using specific material to promote a lightweight vehicle or leveling an RV, all require exactness.

Firestone Airide introduced its Air Command dual path control system to promote suspension leveling precision.

The Air Command Dual Path Wireless App and Remote Kit manage Firestone’s dual-path control air helper springs.

Firestone representative Nick Jaynes said, “Utilizing the latest Bluetooth protocol for its wireless control provides a more reliable connection than the radio frequency-based controllers of the past.”

The app additionally supports over-the-air updates such as electronic control unit (ECU) firmware updates.

Leveling the suspension increases steering control, levels headlights, enhances ride comfort, prevents cargo from bottoming, adds trailer braking efficiency and balances loads.

“Air Command is a reliable, robust solution to a problem most RV owners have,” Jaynes said.

In addition to suspension leveling, the app monitors an auxiliary fill port where tires can be inflated. Customers can set an auto-stop pressure threshold or an auto-stop timer through their smartphone.

Water cannot drown out the Air Command components. The control helper springers have an IP67 rating to promote safety while submerged in water.

The system components do not require drill installation and can be mounted in any orientation. The system is available through distributors now.

Jaynes said, “Offering Air Command ensures their customers will have the best possible and most worry-free ownership experience.”
