Industry veteran Jamison Carrier launched leadership and talent advisory firm TeamNavX today in Indianapolis.
The recruiting firm will help dealer principals and executive teams identify, attract and hire top performers for any role. The firm will support leadership development and long-term retention.
Carrier founded Relentless Dealer Services in 2019 before selling the F&I company to EasyCare in 2023. He stayed with EasyCare until last fall. Carrier said he saw a real need for F&I education in the RV industry before founding Relentless Dealer Services.
“I was with Camping World for 10 years, and most of my focus was in finance and insurance,” Carrier said. “The one thing I saw that was consistent is these independent dealerships we were buying just were not good at F&I.”
Carrier said he saw a similar need for recruiting assistance and education. He often recruited new hires with the dealer chain growing so quickly.
“As a result of going through that process, I was constantly learning how better to recruit,” Carrier said. “I studied some of the recruiting legends. They have written about so many things that helped me establish a process of how to bring in top performers.”
Dealerships, Carrier said, are always looking for top performers. He said managers rarely have time to make recruiting a priority. Carrier said TeamNavX can handle the chore for dealerships.
Carrier said he already has clients across the country under contract. Carrier said TeamNavX can help dealerships grow by applying leadership frameworks, performance clarity and disciplined recruiting practices.
“There is no shortage of hard-working people in this industry,” Carrier said. “When expectations are not clear, teams get frustrated. TeamNavX helps dealers define what winning looks like before they hire or promote, not after.”
Carrier took a few months away from the industry to help clear his mind. He said returning to dealership-related work made sense.
“I really thought there was a good chance I might go outside of the industry,” he said. “What I found is that I love the dealership world. That is RV, marine and powersports. That is where I have invested most of my time in my career, and it is also where I have the most relationships. The hardest part about leaving the industry would be leaving those relationships. Why would I go away from the industry when there is an opportunity right here?”
Carrier has written a book, “Building a Championship Team,” that will be released in six to eight weeks.
“It is essentially the TeamNavX playbook for recruiting, hiring and developing top performers,” he said. “It does not matter how good you are at drawing up plays and putting processes in place. Top-tier teams, championship teams, have the best players.”
