Almost 400 consumers and Lippert staff, 100 more than last year, are attending the second annual Lippert Getaway this week at the Pine Mountain RV Resort in Georgia. Tickets for the event sold out the first day they were available.

The event began Tuesday and wraps up Saturday.

A morphing demographic

“The vibe this year is incredible,” said Nicole Sult, Lippert VP of customer experience. “We have about 50 percent new people and 50 percent who were with us last year. The camaraderie here is remarkable. That is a takeaway from so many of the guests. They are so happy to get together with their friends from across the country again in all makes and models of RVs because all are welcome here.”

“The demographic is different. Last year many of our guests were retired,” said Jessica Robert, Lippert director of events. “This year, we have more families. We planned for a lot more kids… and scheduled more kid-focused events.”

Sult said the change is the direct result of Lippert building a strong online social network with its brand ambassadors’ help.

“A lot of people in that space are younger,” Sult said. “The (ambassadors and influencers) have had an impact on spreading the word about Lippert Scouts and about this event. A bit of that outreach is starting to shape our attendee list.”

Launched in 2020, Lippert Scouts is an online RVing and camping forum created to help give the Lippert team feedback and insights about products and services. The group has its own downloadable Lippert Communities app and over 16,000 participants.

This week’s program

Lippert is presenting a rally schedule this week packed with events to help consumers use their RVs, including a condensed version of the company’s RV owner’s school. Consumers can attend sessions and panels held by Lippert and Lippert RV brand ambassadors who live full-time in their RVs. Topics range from product usage to maintenance.

One of the most popular sessions held this week, “the importance of maintaining your RV for longevity” was attended by 160 attendees.

In planning this rally, Lippert reached out to local companies and artisans to participate in the event and give consumers a taste of the local environment and neighborhoods.

“We like to make an impact on the surrounding community,” Robert said.

Wild Animal Safari was invited onsite. The group brought animals to the camp area for guest education. Consumers were given discounted tickets to local attractions like Callaway Resort and Gardens.

Lippert Getaway 2023

Lippert plans to hold the event next year. The company will announce the 2023 Lippert Getaway date and location on Saturday. Tickets for the event can be accessed through the Lippert Community App.
