The National RV Training Academy (NRVTA) headquarters in Athens, Texas, filled with 123 students who answered an RV technician call.

NRVTA said January RV training track participants broke the association’s attendance record. Typically, NRVTA averages 90 attendees per cycle, the association said.

NRVTA Managing Director Terry Cooper said, “It is truly exciting to witness such a high level of enthusiasm among RV enthusiasts and professionals. The fact that more individuals are recognizing the need for skilled RV technicians and inspectors and are stepping up to fill these roles is a testament to the evolving landscape of the RV industry.”

On Jan. 1, participants began the RV Fundamentals Course, which runs through this week. Over the next five weeks, the curriculum will run advanced courses covering refrigerators, exteriors, air conditioners, washer heaters and furnaces.

NRVTA also offers a three-week RV Inspector course. The course includes a one-week RV Fundamental Course and two weeks of Advanced RV Inspector courses. Participants can opt to take generator or solar electives.

NRVTA focuses on classroom theory and extensive hands-on experiences.

“Seeing people not only understand the need,” Cooper said, “but also choose to be a part of the solution is a proud moment for us at the academy.”
