Wisconsin’s Markquart RV acquired Appleton Camping Center, marking the dealer chain’s 10th location.

Charlee Markquart, partner at Markquart RV, said the expansion was a combination of ability and opportunity.

“The Appleton and Green Bay areas have a strong and loyal RV customer base, and it is a region we have wanted to serve for quite some time,” he said. “When the opportunity with Appleton Camping Center became available, we knew it was the right fit.”

All 10 of Markquart RV’s stores are located in the Upper Midwest states of Minnesota and Wisconsin, a region known as the Fox Valley. The newly acquired store now operates as Markquart RV – Appleton.

“The timing lined up perfectly,” Markquart said, “both in terms of the market’s growth and our ability to deliver the Markquart experience to more campers in the Fox Valley.”

Markquart RV Partner Amy Dachel said the Appleton community is a great place for the Markquart brand.

“We are thrilled to bring the Markquart experience to Appleton,” Dachel said. “This community has a deep passion for camping, and our goal is to provide an exceptional camper shopping and service experience backed by the strength and values of the Markquart brand.”A photo of the Appleton Camping Center that was acquired by Markquart RV in fall of 2025.

Markquart said the dealer chain’s growth strategy has been very intentional.

“We are not expanding for the sake of numbers,” he said. “Every decision is backed by careful research, brand alignment and local market understanding. We love serving the Upper Midwest and are thrilled with the team and communities we have built across Wisconsin and Minnesota.”

The company now operates dealerships in Eau Clair, Madison, Columbus, Burlington and Appleton, Wisconsin, as well as Ramsey, Minnesota.

“Our mission has always been to grow by creating loyal customers,” Markquart said, “and that means investing in great people, great brands and great communities.”
