Fun Town RV and CEO Jarrod McGhree will provide 10 full scholarships a year for the next three years for students enrolling in the Navarro College RV Technician Program.

McGhee joined Navarro College faculty and employees and representatives from the RV Training Institute (RVTI) in late October to celebrate the official ribbon cutting of the new RV Technician Program. The program designed to train and certify the next generation of RV technicians is the first college in the U.S. to become an RVTI Authorized Learning Partner.

Fun Town RV said the event marked another milestone in the growing partnership between the RV dealership and Navarro College, which began in June 2024. Fun Town RV and Lippert donated money and resources to launch the program.

McGhee said Fun Town RV is passionate about creating opportunities in the RV trades.

“This scholarship program ensures that anyone with drive and curiosity,” McGhee said, “can gain the technical skills needed to build a successful, lifelong career in the RV industry.”

Fun Town RV said McGhee’s vision of the RV Technician Training School was inspired by the success of Navarro College’s John Deere Technician Program. McGhee said he saw the opportunity to replicate the model within the RV industry.

The Navarro College program, built in partnership with RVTI, provides hands-on training, leading to Level 1 RVTI Certification. Additional opportunities are available for certification in Levels 2, 3 and 4.

Fun Town RV said industry partners, including Lippert, contributed vital support through equipment donations and ongoing collaboration. McGhee said Fun Town RV Training Director Amberly Patrick and Senior Director of Communications Kyle Perry were instrumental in developing the program.

“Amberly and Kyle have shown extraordinary dedication in bringing this vision to life,” McGhee said. “Their teamwork, leadership and collaboration with so many others across both the RV industry and higher education made this program possible. Their commitment will impact countless students and strengthen the RV industry for years to come.”

McGhee said the scholarship commitment reflects Fun Town RV’s mission to empower communities.

“Our industry’s future depends on skilled technicians,” McGhee said. “By investing in education today, we are ensuring a stronger, more sustainable future for the RV community tomorrow.”
