General RV Center will open a new store on Florida’s west coast in 2024.

The new store will be on the south side of Fort Myers, Florida. The location will be General RV’s fifth Florida store and 19th U.S. store overall.

General RV President Loren Baidas said, “General RV first found a home in Florida in 2009. Since we opened those doors, our company has grown exponentially. As we continue to grow, our goal remains the same: to help families make RV memories. We are excited to bring our premier RV purchasing experience, service and products to a new part of the Sunshine State and continue to help our customers connect with the great outdoors.”

The 120,000-square-foot facility will have 20 service bays and enough space to display 400 RVs. The property includes two buildings that will be upgraded to reflect General RV’s existing Supercenter format.

The dealership said it expects a soft opening in early January. Once fully operational, the dealership will add more than 100 jobs to the local community.

General RV will host a hiring event from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Nov. 28-29 at its Fort Myers facility, 15565 Tamiami Trail.

General RV operates Florida stores in Orange Park, near Jacksonville; Dover, near Tampa; and Ocala. A store in Fort Pierce, near Port St. Lucie, will open in early December.

The Fort Meyers store is General RV’s fifth new location announced in 2023.
