General RV Shuffles Company Leadership

With the turn of the new year, General RV Center restructured its leadership to adapt. The company appointed a new chairman, CEO, president, chief accounting officer and chief financial officer.

Among the changes made include promoting President Loren Baidas to company CEO. Baidas served as company president since 2006.

Baidas said, “We have realigned several ownership titles to better reflect our current roles and responsibilities. As evidenced by the rapid growth our company has embarked on in the last year, we continue to evolve.”

The new appointments include:

Rob Baidas, General RV Center chairman: Baidas is a second-generation owner as General RV founder Abe Baidas’ son. After achieving a finance degree in 1981, Baidas pioneered a mail-order RV parts catalog that transformed into Salem Distributors. After his ventures, Baidas joined General RV in 1983. tunities. Baidas installed computer and accounting systems that supported the company’s growth in Michigan and expanded to other states.

Loren Baidas, CEO: Baidas is Rob Baidas’ nephew and a third-generation owner who worked at General RV as a teenager. He served as a credit analyst in banking before returning to General RV in 1999. He served as general manager for the Wixom Supercenter in Michigan and was a company national sales manager before his promotion to president.

Chris Davis, president: Davis takes over as General RV president after serving as vice president of finance for more than a decade. He oversaw various teams, including the finance department, since joining General RV in 2011. Davis will continue finance department oversight in addition to his presidential responsibilities.

Katie Short, Chief Accounting Officer: After gaining experience in public accounting as a partner with a CPA firm and private accounting, Short joined General RV over 25 years ago as a controller. She managed financial transactions, accounting activity, financial reporting and compliance. She will continue her responsibilities in her new role.

Scott Stoy, Chief Financial Officer: Stoy joined General RV in November 2023 as chief financial officer. Stoy holds more than 20 years of financial sector experience. Stoy gained knowledge through his time in the automotive and manufacturing industries. Story spent 10 years in leadership roles at Federal-Mogul (Tenneco). General RV said Stoy brings corporate strategy and cross-functional leadership knowledge to the team.
