General RV Center has teamed with manufacturer Brinkley RV to exclusively bring the new Model Z luxury fifth wheel to the 2023 Florida RV SuperShow Jan. 18-22 at the Florida State Fairgrounds in Tampa, Florida.
“As owners of the company, many of us have been doing business with General RV for decades. Their dedication to the customer through continuous improvement and a growth mindset made partnering with them a natural fit,” said Ryan Thwaits, Brinkley RV co-owner. “We are honored they chose to launch and carry Brinkley RV at all of their dealerships; this is a testament to the mutual trust General RV and Brinkley RV have in each other.”
As the first fifth wheel created by Brinkley, the Model Z was designed by RV campers for RV campers, General RV Center said.
After debuting a prototype, Micah Staley, Brinkley RV co-owner and Model Z lead designer, took the Model Z on a maiden voyage across the country. During the 30-day road trip, Staley stopped at campsites throughout the 6,200-mile journey to obtain improvement feedback.
After the first road trip, the company made over 250 refinements to the Model Z’s design, functionality, and durability, General RV Center said. Three more prototypes, a few more road trips, and many tests concluded the research and development phase resulting in the current Model Z.
According to General RV, the Model Z offers amenities and unique features based on extensive industry expertise and customer input. The Model Z includes 7K HD axles, commercial-grade 17.5” H-rated Cooper tires, flush floor slides, and a 79.5-inch interior bedroom height. It also comes with standard equipment such as electric dump valves, USB/USB-C outlets, built-in pet dishes, and innovative new square windows. Brinkley designed the Model Z to cater to campers of all levels and lifestyles.

Brinkley RV, formed by five RV industry-manufacturing leaders, was founded in 2022 and is headquartered in Goshen, Indiana.
