During Advocacy Day earlier this summer, RV industry leaders asked their members of Congress to reauthorize the Legacy Restoration Fund, which was established in 2020 by the Great American Outdoors Act.
A House Natural Resources Subcommittee Hearing will take place Sept. 5 involving the Legacy Restoration Fund and the next steps for the program. The Legacy Restoration Fund expires at the end of September.
The hearing will be a field hearing conducted at the Jenny Lake Visitor Center in Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming.
The Legacy Restoration Fund addresses deferred maintenance in national parks, with more than $6.5 billion targeted to the initiative. The five-year funding source was first established by the Great American Outdoors Act and the permanent Land and Water Conservation Fund.
A livestream of the hearing begins at 10 a.m. Mountain time on Sept. 5 and is available by clicking here.
