Indiana Covid Hospitalizations Highest Since January

Covid cases continue to rise in northern Indiana as the delta variant spreads.

The Indiana Department of Health reported Tuesday that 97% of Covid samples tested were of the delta variant. Noble County is experiencing a “significant surge” in cases, leading Noble County Health Officer Dr. Terry Gaff to issue a health advisory.

Across the state a sharp spike in hospitalizations has been reported. On Monday, there were 1,956 COVID-related hospitalizations statewide. That number has not been seen since Jan. 25.
