Lippert Components, Inc. conducted its first seRV Volunteer Rally at Champions Run RV Resort in Ocala, Florida, from Oct. 19-22.

The event brought together RV enthusiasts, nonprofit organizations and community members. Attendees were united in a shared mission of purpose-driven travel and volunteerism, Lippert said.

During the four-day event, 50 attendees collaborated with rally hosts Sean and Christina Conlon of @PawsForLove. Together they racked up over 380 volunteer hours dedicating their time to various local initiatives.

Six volunteer opportunities were offered during the seRV Volunteer Rally, including donation collection for multiple needs at Interfaith Emergency Services, where over 1,017 pounds of goods were collected for their thrift store, food pantry and shower ministry.

Additionally, participants joined four off-site volunteer events and one on-site volunteer event. They also contributed to multiple on-site volunteer activities, creating nearly 150 cards for hospitalized children. The Conlons, along with their dogs Nash and Maverick, served as official seRV and Lippert Brand Ambassadors.

“This weekend, 50 volunteers are gathered together in Ocala, Florida, to give their time, talents and resources to give back to six nonprofits here in the community,” Christina Conlon said. “This group of volunteers represents the heartbeat of the RV community, a group that cares deeply and shows up to help in any way they can. It’s an honor to host the first-ever seRV Rally in Ocala and link arms with these amazing people to give back to these nonprofits in such a tangible way.”

Michilah Grimes, Lippert’s director of corporate and community impact, said, “seRV is about bringing people together from all over the country, encouraging them to discover ways to give back while they travel along their planned route. The inaugural seRV Rally took this to a whole new level by establishing a location and saying, ‘Come join us here!’ To have so many people respond and make their way to Ocala with the sole intention to serve was incredible.”
