Veurink’s RV Center is expanding its dealership to a second location after acquiring Preferred RV in Newaygo, Michigan.

The transaction was completed April 23. Veurink’s stated the Preferred RV site used only half its 7-acre property. Veurink’s decided build a medium-sized facility using more acreage.

“Our company has grown a lot over the last several years, so we are expanding to better serve the West Michigan community,” company General Manager Matt Veurink said. “With the growth we are experiencing, it was the right time, the right move and the right place. We were already actively involved with the Newaygo community, so we definitely liked that aspect of the acquisition.”

The grand opening of Veurink’s RV Center Newaygo will be held July 9-10. The dealership expects to offer customers a larger inventory selection and expanded service operations. The company stated it nearly doubled its workforce since the acquisition, promoting employees at the original Grand Rapids, Michigan, location to assist with expansion.

“We are excited for this next adventure with our family business as we continue growing and giving back to the community,” Veurink said. “We have renamed the business in Newaygo to ‘Veurink’s RV Center’ and are continuing our slogan of ‘We Keep America RVing.’”

Veurink’s was founded in 1954 by Howard Veurink.
