Montana natives, Garry Hellyer and Kara Truesdell have been in the RV business since 2011 and retailing in Montana for 20-plus years. In May, they sold their Montana-based RV dealership, I-90 Motors & RV to Camping World Holdings, Inc.

Hellyer said: “Our vision for I-90 Motors & RV was to develop an RV dealership focusing primarily on serving the Billings, Montana, area. We know the kind of freedom and adventure our customers are looking for, so we intentionally carry a large selection of new and used campers with our local customers in mind.”

Hellyer and Truesdell trained their financing, service and parts teams to offer outstanding service, Hellyer said, because the dealership values long-term relationships with customers and strives to exceed their expectations.

RV Business Solutions, a buy-sell advisor to RV dealers, was the exclusive sell-side advisor to Hellyer and Truesdell in the sale.

Truesdell said RV Business Solutions was “incredible” to work with.

“Their expertise has allowed for a seamless transaction, and their immense connection database, without question, procured the deal,” Truesdell said. “Garry and I look forward to joining the Camping World team and highly recommend RV Business Solutions to any RV dealer looking to sell their business.”

The acquisition sets the stage for the beginning of Camping World’s expansion into Montana and Billings is a “great place to begin,” said Marcus Lemonis, Camping World chairman and CEO.
