Motility Software Solutions has enhanced Lot Metrix, a location-based RV inventory management platform, to strengthen dealer management software (DMS) connectivity and improve inventory management.
The upgrade features an application programming interface (API) integration to Motility’s DMS.
The integration will help dealers find inventory within their DMS and import it with a single click. The integration will pull sales and service units in real-time, eliminating the manual creation of service units or an overnight feed to import sales units.
“More Americans than ever before have discovered RVing, and, in turn, dealerships are discovering smarter, more scalable ways to keep up inventory and demand,” Motility CEO Brad Rogers said. “The API integration conveys our ability to promote efficiency, increase sales and boost service for our customers.”
Motility improved the Lot Metrix application in key areas to streamline communication between drivers and managers, improve visibility through reporting and simplify assignment creation:
- New Assignment types: Dealers can choose from three new types to simplify assignment creation.
- Lot Location: Dealers can select a specific zone and space for a unit to be dropped. Dealership zone/space lot grids can be uploaded and recalled.
- Geo Location: Dealers can prepare the unit drop location via a drag and drop assignment map.
- Free Drop: Drivers can drop and execute tasks without a designated drop point.
- Assignment description: Dealers can view an assignment description on the main “Assignments” page without navigating between multiple tabs.
- Porter Subgroups creation and management: Drivers can be teamed up for designated assignments.
- Auto-Deactivate Units: Dealers can set an auto-deactivation countdown (15 minutes, up to 1 month) before a unit leaves a lot, to manage active inventory.
- Last Scan Date Reporting: Dealers can easily audit inventory with improved scan date reporting. The username, email address, timestamp, and latitude/longitude of a unit can be captured and displayed whenever a user scans the vehicle.
“Earlier this quarter, we introduced Lot Metrix 2.0 with a promise to deliver these key enhancements within the same quarter. We are elated to deliver on that promise,” Rogers said. “Lot Metrix strategically complements our DMS solutions and will power those Motility customers who need a tool to locate and move inventory in a snap. If a customer does not have Motility, they can use their current DMS and we will pull inventory in via an overnight feed.”
Motility Software Solutions acquired Lot Metrix in 2021. Motility supplies DMS to over 7,000 customers.
