Expion360’s next-generation Group 27 and GC2 batteries will be shipping nationally in May.

The next-generation batteries include the supplier’s Vertical Heat Conduction (VHC) internal heating system. The VHC uses Expion360’s Positive Temperature Coefficient Heating Film (PTCHF) to evenly distribute heat, promote battery performance and use less energy.

Expion360 CEO Brian Schaffner said, “We plan to continue adding features, improving energy density and developing unique OEM-centric form factors that we believe will further broaden our market opportunities in new and existing verticals and bring long-term value to customers and stockholders.”

The new battery versions have 4-amp-hour and 4.5-amp-hour cell functionality and Bluetooth communication.

More than 300 customers will stock the batteries nationwide.
