The National RV Training Academy (NRVTA) has hired David Henderson as its national sales manager.
Henderson will oversee three student advisors and work directly with Tony Flammia, NRVTA’s director of sales and marketing, to help students identify courses and programs to achieve their professional goals.
Henderson has more than 25 years of experience working in college admissions jobs, primarily for technical schools that specialize in preparing people for specific careers. He was recently the corporate director of admissions for Heavy Equipment Colleges of America. He is a U.S. Air Force veteran who worked as an aircraft mechanic during the first Gulf War.
“It is a privilege to work for NRVTA. Because it is a very impressive school, the biggest challenge will be to build academy awareness outside the RV industry,” Henderson said. “There is a growth mentality among the staff, and I will be helping them improve the sales function and coaching the team on ways to enroll more students.”
Henderson said he sees an opportunity to introduce skilled workers from similar technical fields to the opportunities available in the RV industry.
“The RV industry needs more skilled and highly-trained technicians,” Henderson said. “There are plenty of men and women working in dead-end jobs in other industries who would jump into the RV industry if they knew more about the opportunities available to them.”
