Central Ohio-based RCD RV is expanding to northeast Ohio by acquiring Avalon RV Center.

Avalon RV Center has locations in Medina and North Ridgeville, Ohio, within the Cleveland and Akron/Canton markets.

RCD RV said Avalon RV Center stores will operate under the same name for the next year before slowly transitioning to the RCD RV brand early next fall.

RCD RV is a family-owned dealership group celebrating its 50th anniversary. Third-generation owners Brad and Ryan Haire lead the operations. RCD RV has stores in Delaware, Heath and Pataskala.

Avalon RV Center also has a half-century history, having opened in Canal Fulton, Ohio, in 1968. The dealership moved to Medina in 1984 and later opened its second store.

RCD RV said Avalon has earned a bright reputation in the industry and throughout the RVing community.

“Avalon RV Center’s current staff is one of the most tenured in the business,” RCD RV said, “and we are looking forward to combining synergies to take our customers’ experience to an even higher level.”

RCD RV said Avalon’s Medina store was an exclusive Forest River dealer, while the North Ridgeville store was an exclusive Keystone RV dealer.

“With the addition of the two Avalon locations, we will be able to expand our current central Ohio brands,” RCD RV said. “In addition to the new offerings, the two new locations will be proud to represent the area’s best and most robust lineup of preowned motorhomes and towable products.”
