ORR said in the year since the Explore Act’s enactment, implementation has begun delivering meaningful progress. ORR’s national webinar will convene federal leaders, policymakers and outdoor recreation stakeholders for a “candid, forward-looking discussion on the state of Explore Act implementation.”
The conversation will feature updates from land and water management agencies, including the U.S. Forest Service, National Park Service, Bureau of Land Management, Fish and Wildlife Service and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
Policymakers and outdoor recreation leaders will provide their perspectives.
ORR said the webinar will review the act’s implementation successes and where gaps remain.
Other webinar topics will include infrastructure and permitting modernization; expanded access for biking, climbing, motorized recreation, veterans and people with disabilities; gateway communities and rural development; data, digital tools and cross-agency coordination; and 2026 priorities.
