Outdoor Recreation Roundtable (ORR) will host a webinar at 1 p.m. ET July 6 to showcase professionals in diverse careers across the $689 billion outdoor recreation economy.
The webinar will assist policymakers and prospective workers in understanding how these jobs provide outstanding quality of life, support conservation goals, and connect Americans to the outdoors, ORR said.
The event will highlight a new report illustrating outdoor workforce career opportunities for workers with and without higher academic degrees, the skillsets required to excel in them and the successful career paths that other professionals have followed.
ORR will a recent cross-industry survey in which outdoor executives reveal the jobs for which they need applicants, the skills they want those applicants to have and their efforts to expand diversity, equity, and inclusion across the outdoor workforce.
Lee Davis, executive director, Oregon State University Center for the Outdoor Recreation Economy will moderate the event which will include input from:

- Teresa Martinez, executive director, Continental Divide Trail Coalition
- Tim Scott, Level 3 Technician, RV Technical Institute
- Alicia Smith, lift maintenance technician, Mt. Bachelor
