Biography
Brammer became Stromberg Carlson’s vice president when his dad passed away in 1993. That day, his brother became company president.
“I am most proud that we did not screw it up,” said Brammer of the third-generation, family-owned company. “We were kind of thrown into this.”
When Bob Brammer Sr. died of cancer at 67, Charlie’s brother Bob Brammer Jr. was fresh out of college with only a few years of sales background. At that time, Charlie Brammer only had a few years of manufacturing experience on the production planning side.
After studying material logistics at Ferris State University, Charlie Brammer worked production planning at an automotive company in Cadillac, Michigan. When he started at Stromberg Carlson Products, he was in production operations. Today, he oversees Stromberg Carlson’s operations, inventory, product forecasting, vendor relations, purchasing and importing.
Though he did not always love coming into work, Brammer said he cannot imagine retiring today because he loves it so much. When he is not working, he spends time with his family and enjoys fishing.
