Houston, Texas-based PPL Motor Homes recently collected more than 450 teddy tears during its annual “Cuddles for Kids” toy drive. The bears will be donated to local first responders who carry them in patrol cars and give them to children involved in accidents or affected by domestic issues.

“We started Cuddles for Kids in an effort to help children facing difficult situations,” PPL Motorhomes President Diana LeBlanc said. “Every year with the support of RVers across the country, PPL provides hundreds of teddy bears to police officers to keep in their patrol cars. The bears are given to young children when they’re needed most and often become the child’s best friend.”

Founded in Houston, Texas, in 1972, PPL Motorhomes has added locations in New Braunfels to service the San Antonio and Austin markets. It also serves the Dallas market with its Cleburne location. Since 2011, PPL Motorhomes has collected and distributed thousands of teddy bears to area law-enforcement agencies. Donors from across the U.S. contributed to the 2019 drive, either by dropping off bears or sponsoring them. The dealerships accept donations year-round.

First responders can pick up donated teddy bears any time at these locations:

• PPL Houston, 10777 Southwest Freeway, Houston
• PPL Dallas/Fort Worth, 2408 N Main St., Cleburne
• PPL New Braunfels, 5270 Interstate Highway 35 North, New Braunfels
