For owners of larger and/or diesel-powered vehicles that require more cold cranking amps before connecting to a towed vehicle, Roadmaster has introduced its #767 Remote Manual Battery Disconnect kit.

Many towed vehicles require the battery to be disconnected before towing, the company said, to prevent the battery from draining or going dead before arrival at the destination.

Roadmaster’s kit includes a heavy-duty switch with pre-assembled cabling, ribbed plastic loom, wire ties and all necessary hardware.

The 767 is mounted underhood and offers 300-amp constant duty and 1,000-amp surge capability, Roadmaster said. For diesel vehicles with dual batteries, two 767 kits will be required.
