Roadmaster Inc. is rolling out a new truck bed protector line.
The company said the truck bed protectors address damage caused by shifting cargo.
Roadmaster Marketing Executive Robert Silk said the company’s patented Front Bed Protector delivers heavy-duty protection at the truck bed’s front wall.
“During hard braking or abrupt stops, unsecured cargo can surge forward, bending bed walls, chipping paint, crushing sheet metal and, in severe cases, damaging the back of the cab,” Silk said. “Roadmaster’s patented Front Bed Protector is engineered to prevent that damage by reinforcing the front bed wall and stopping forward load movement before it reaches critical areas of the vehicle.”
The initial product is available for Ford F-Series Super Duty models (F-250, F-350 and F-450). Roadmaster is developing Chevrolet and Ram truck applications.
Roadmaster said the product is manufactured from 12-gauge steel. The protectors absorb up to eight times more impact energy than the bed alone.
The protectors feature a black powder-coated finish and integrated tie-down points.
The company said installation typically takes 20 minutes or less.
The Front Bed Protector (part No. 33400) for Ford F-250, F-350 and F-450 models is available through Roadmaster’s nationwide distributor network.
