Fifty years ago, a man from the Netherlands opened a chapter in the RV industry’s book of adventures. In Kitchener, Ontario, Jac Hanemaayer designed a Type B motorhome for Home & Park Vehicles Limited in 1974. After the experience, Hanemaayer bought the company and launched the Roadtrek Type B motorhome in 1980.

Half a century later, Roadtrek’s story lives on. The manufacturer celebrates its 50th anniversary this month with the Chase 50 model.

Roadtrek Head of Sales Len McDougall said, “The Chase 50 is a reflection of Roadtrek’s unwavering commitment to innovation and quality. As we celebrate 50 years of adventure, this limited-edition model pays homage to our rich history while looking forward to the exciting future of exploration on the open road.”A picture of the Chase 50 RV.

The motorhome is built on the Ram ProMaster 159-inch platform. The motorhome design provides a spacious interior and storage options. Italian leather covers the bed cushions and cab area seating. The bed cushions can convert from a twin bed to a king-sized sleeping space.

The Chase 50 will debut at the Florida SuperShow Jan. 17-21 at the Florida State Fairgrounds in Tampa.

Sunshine State RVs will be the Chase 50 representative for the show.
