Mike Molino RV Learning Center has awarded a $2,500 College Scholarship to World Wide RV Office Manager Jewellissa French.
French has been chosen to receive the Mike Molino RV Learning Center Scholarship for the 2022-2023 academic year. Endowed through the Kindlund Family Foundation, the $2,500 award goes to an RV industry employee or their dependent enrolled in undergraduate studies.
French started her career in the RV industry as a World Wide RV receptionist. She was promoted to title clerk and is now the dealership office manager. French currently has a 3.99 GPA in her undergraduate studies and plans to complete her Master of Business Administration degree at Arizona State University.
“Congratulations to Jewellissa as she is a future leader this scholarship is meant to recognize. Her hard work and dedication show in everything she does from interacting with our guests to managing accounts,” said David Skogebo, World Wide RV general manager. “We are fortunate to have her on our team and look forward to seeing her contributions to the RV industry in her bright future.”
The Kindlund family, which endowed the scholarship program with $270,000, remains active in the RV industry. The family sold Holiday RV Superstores in 1999. Newt Kindlund serves as RV Learning Center Board of Directors Director Emeritus. “This scholarship is one of the oldest in the industry and we are very proud to have established it over 20 years ago,” Kindlund said.
The Learning Center’s scholarship program recognizes deserving rising college sophomores, juniors, and seniors. Applicants are judged on their current RV industry involvement or their plan to seek employment in the industry upon graduation, academic achievement, extracurricular activities and honors, financial need, and a 500-word essay on their goals and objectives after college. The program has awarded $77,500 to 31 students since its inception in 2000.
The Mike Molino RV Learning Center provides publications, certification programs, online learning, and live workshops exclusively for dealership staff.
