Five RV industry giants will join the RV/MH Hall of Fame in August.
RVDA Chairman of the Board and Affinity RV founder Bob Been, Heartland RV founder Brian Brady, longtime RVIA forecaster Dr. Richard Curtain, former Cummins executive Garry Enyart and former Michigan Manufactured Housing, Recreation Vehicle and Campground Association (MMHRVCA) director Bill Scheffer are among the 10 inductees to the 2026 Hall of Fame class.
Been spent over 20 years leading Affinity RV before selling the company to Blue Compass RV, where he remains an executive. His RVDA chairman term began in November.
Brady was the president and CEO at Damon Corp. before founding Heartland RV. Damon Corp. merged with Four Winds International to create Thor Motor Coach. Brady went on to create Heartland RV in 2003 with Tim Hoffman, Douglas Lantz, John Rhymer and Scott Tuttle. Brady retired from Heartland in 2012.
Curtain spent 40 years researching the RV industry and creating RVIA’s RV RoadSigns forecast. He created RVIA’s RV Consumer Demographic Profiles and continued publishing the RV RoadSigns forecast until 2020.
Enyart spent over four decades with Onan and Cummins, leading the RV generator division from 2005 until his 2022 retirement. He has since remained affiliated with Cummins and has worked as an advocate for repair event cycle time improvements throughout the industry.
Scheffer was named MMHRVCA director in 1995 and served as director and executive director until his 2022 retirement.
The five Manufactured Housing Hall of Fame inductees are Evan Atkinson of Adventure Homes, James Breen of Factory Expo Homes, Steve Case of Flying Storage Group, James George Joffe of J&H Management and Robert Young of the Blair Group.
The RV/MH Hall of Fame selection committees recently held meetings to review in detail all the induction nominations. The RV/MH Hall of Fame said the selection committees were impressed with the number and quality of nominations. Each year, a maximum of five people associated with each industry are chosen from among the candidates.
The 54th induction ceremony is scheduled for Aug. 17 in Elkhart, Indiana.
In addition to the Induction Dinner Ceremony, an exclusive green jacket presentation will take place the night before within the RV/MH Hall of Fame lobby. This event is exclusive to current inductees, their invited guests and past inductees.
The special event welcomes inductees and prepares them for the following evening’s induction. Past inductees are encouraged to wear their green jackets if they attend the dinner.
