The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has issued the following 2024 RV recalls:

CUMMINS, INC.

Improperly Tightened Damper Cap Screws

A separated damper can become a projectile, striking people nearby and increasing the injury risk.

Potential Number of Units Affected: 16

Cummins is recalling certain 2023-2024 Power Generation C275D2RE trailers. The vibration damper cap screws may be improperly tightened, which may cause the damper to separate from the engine.

Dealers will inspect and tighten the cap screws. They will repair any damage as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed May 5. Owners may contact Cummins customer service at 800-286-6467. Cummins’ number for this recall is C7015.

FOREST RIVER, INC.

Incorrect Seat Belt Information on Label

Incorrect cargo-carrying capacity information may result in an overloaded vehicle, increasing the crash risk.

Potential Number of Units Affected: 50

Forest River is recalling certain 2023-2024 Coachmen Prism PRC24MB motorhomes. The federal information label may indicate the incorrect number of seat belts installed, resulting in an incorrect cargo-carrying capacity.

Forest River will mail new labels, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 13. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 574-825-8487. Forest River’s number for this recall is 215-1747.

GRAND DESIGN RV, LLC.

Improperly Tightened U-Bolt

An axle that moves out of position can cause vehicle control loss and increase the crash risk.

Potential Number of Units Affected: 1,469

Grand Design is recalling certain 2024 Solitude and Momentum fifth wheels. The U-bolts may have been improperly tightened, which can cause the axle to move out of position.

Dealers will replace the U-bolts, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed March 27. Owners may contact Grand Design customer service at 574-825-9679. Grand Design’s number for this recall is 910042.
