RV Technical Institute Hiring New Trainer

The (RVTI) is seeking a new trainer, who would be responsible for instructing new RV technicians at RVTI’s facility in Elkhart, Indiana.

Technician trainer job responsibilities include:

  • Providing instructional delivery (lecture and labs) on a nationally standardized curriculum to technicians at various skill levels
  • Delivering technical content in face-to-face classes
  • Providing technical demonstrations on processes and procedures
  • Preparing, organizing, and implementing technical labs
  • Assisting in the development, design, and evaluation of the Top Tech Challenge criteria
  • Assisting in the creation of instructor materials that will be shared with Authorized Learning Partners
  • Mentoring other instructors in subject matter content and course delivery techniques (computer-based and multimedia curriculum)
  • Administering and proctoring written and practical tests to evaluate technician performance per RVTI guidelines
  • Maintaining and repairing equipment
  • Building simulations and/or models for use during classes that deliver RVTI curriculum

The RVTI trainer position requires the following experience:

  • High school diploma with preferably an associate or bachelor’s degree (or equivalent work experience)
  • 5-plus years’ experience as an RV technical instructor preferred
  • A current Certified or Master Certified RV Service Technician credential
  • Coaching skills for mentoring technicians regarding their performance and behavior
