RVDA of Canada Opens Award Nominations

Each year, RVDA of Canada celebrates RV industry leaders through the association’s awards. The association is beginning preparations to honor this year’s winners.

RVDA of Canada nominations are now open for the Walter Paseska Canadian RV Dealer of the Year Award and the George Goodrick Emerging Leader Award.

RV Dealer of the Year Award

The annual award was established in 1989 by Camping Canada’s RV Lifestyle Magazine. The award honors the late Walter Paseska, founder of Walt’s Trailer Sales in Headingley, Manitoba, in recognition of his many years of commitment and dedication to the RV industry.

The award recognizes individuals who exhibit a long-term dedication to the industry and promote the RV lifestyle as an acting dealer principal of a recognized, full-service RV dealership.

Nominees must show commitment and participation in RVDA at provincial or national levels. They must be recognized by customers and peers as someone with high integrity and credibility in their work and personal life. Requirements include community contributions.

RV Lifestyle Magazine will present the award at the 2024 RVDA Convention/Expo during the RVDA of Canada annual meeting Nov. 13.

Emerging Leader Award

The award established in 2021, honors the late RVDA of Canada Chairman George Goodrick for his industry contributions.

The award recognizes early-career professionals who demonstrate exceptional commitment, passion and promise of leadership to the Canadian RV industry.

Nominees should be autonomous thinkers, risk-takers and trendsetters. Nominees should be credited with:

  • Creating an environment where growth is promoted
  • Creating industry unity, brainstorming industry solutions
  • Exhibiting community participation
  • Contributing to the betterment of the industry.

The award is open to all Canadian retail and wholesale personnel in the RV sector.

The committee will select candidates based on customer service, impact, innovation, initiative and social responsibility factors.

The nomination deadline is June 28.
