RVDA of Canada Unearths Industry Economic Numbers

According to a 2023 survey, 141,000 Canadians held full-time RV industry jobs in 2023.

RVDA of Canada detailed the industry’s influence throughout the country in its April newsletter. The survey was conducted by the Portage Group and Parcel Economics.

The survey found the industry added $16.2 billion to the country’s gross domestic product while $9.2 billion was poured into labor income. RV manufacturing was valued at $621 million. RV retail sales totaled $4.3 billion, generating $7.6 billion of tax revenue.

In addition to direct RV spending, Canadians spent $12. Billion on camping, $10.3 billion on tourism and $2.7 billion on non-travel items.
