The RVDA Industry Relations Committee made a slight change to the RVDA Convention/Expo agenda this year.

The committee altered the Expo/Convention’s dealer-manufacturer meeting name. The meetings between dealers and manufacturers previously called Partners in Progress will now be titled Partners of Progress (POPs).

RVDA Industry Relations Committee chair Debbie Brunoforte of Little Dealer, Little Prices said, “The committee felt that the POPs name better reflects the nature of the relationship between manufacturing companies and the dealers who sell their products.”

The meetings provide a forum where dealers discuss brand-specific issues with manufacturer management members. Only dealers who carry the specific manufacturer brand may attend.

The meetings’ purpose is to strengthen business relationships, provide productive feedback, improve brand quality and increase customer satisfaction. The meetings aim to resolve broad-based issues and seek efficient solutions.

The POP meeting guidelines include confidentiality; meeting information may not be shared with other manufacturer brands. Respect, honesty, integrity and honoring commitments are required. Participants are expected to gather and share information and seek solutions. RVDA suggests attendees be prepared, objective and accurate at the meetings.

The meeting will take place during the RVDA Convention/Expo Nov. 11-15 at Paris Las Vegas. To view the meeting schedule, click here.
