The RV Industry Association asks RV professionals to urge the U.S. House of Representatives to pass the Great American Outdoors Act.

The Senate passed the GAOA in recent weeks, with support and thanks from the RVIA and other RV groups. The House must consider the bill next, which would provide relief for National Parks and the American outdoor recreation industry.

The RVIA shared information and resources for contacting representatives to members on Thursday.

“This critical legislation will improve the experience and safety of RVers and protect our treasured national lands for generations to come,” the RVIA announced.

According to the RVIA, many first-time RVers will head to RV dealerships around the country to buy RVs to travel this summer, and it is critical that these new RVers have a safe and enjoyable experience.

The Senate passed the bipartisan GAOA by a vote of 73-25. The RVIA now asks that the House of Representatives follows suit and pass the bill that would improve the RV industry environment this summer. This legislation focusses on the safety and enjoyment of RVers on federal lands by providing non-taxpayer dollars to improve roads, bridges, campgrounds, marinas, historical sites, visitor centers and more.

“This bipartisan bill will not only benefit the over 20 million current RVers, it will also protect our treasured national lands for generations of RVers to come,” the RVIA wrote.

The RVIA encourages members to click here to write their Representatives today and ask them to pass the GAOA.
