Jason Rano, a senior government relations executive with over 18 years of experience directing, creating, and implementing legislative and regulatory initiatives, has joined the RVIA as vice president of government affairs.

Rano will report to RVIA President and CEO Craig Kirby. He will manage six staff positions and multiple outside consultants. His overall mission is to promote and protect the RVIA member interests, RVIA said.

“Jason’s proven track record of success building bipartisan coalitions and engaging with administration officials, members of Congress, Congressional staff, committees and key partners and stakeholders, make him the ideal leader for the RV industry’s efforts to move policy objectives on Capitol Hill and in state legislatures across the country,” said Craig Kirby, RVIA President and CEO. “I could not be more excited for Jason to lead the RV Industry Association’s talented and dedicated government affairs team.”

Rano joins the RVIA from Rivian, where he served as the company’s senior partnership development manager. He will work alongside current RVIA VP Government Affairs Jay Landers, until his retirement in March.

“I am thrilled to join the talented RV Industry Association team and look forward to working with the accomplished and committed government affairs team on behalf of our members in the halls of Congress and state houses across the country to ensure the industry continues to thrive,” Rano said.
