RVIA’s Workforce Safety Taskforce will host members in a virtual roundtable discussion Oct. 29.

The virtual seminar will focus on employers’ best practices to achieve compliance with vaccine mandates. Government suppliers must require employees to be fully vaccinated by Dec. 8, barring exceptions. Employers with more than 100 employees will be subject to an eventual vaccine mandate but there is no timetable yet for implementation.

The event will begin with a presentation from Dr. Anthony Harris, a board-certified occupational and environmental physician. Harris is an occupational health clinic owner and medical director based in Crown Point, Indiana. Harris also is WorkCare Inc.’s chief innovation officer.

After Harris’ presentation, Workforce Safety Taskforce members will discuss how their companies plan to implement testing, track test results and track employees’ vaccination status. The roundtable will conclude with a Q&A session with Harris and taskforce members.

The taskforce consists of manufacturers and suppliers addressing and improving safety environments for RV plant workers.

The virtual event is scheduled for 2-3 p.m. EST Oct. 29. Registration is available for RVIA members on rvia.org.
