RVIA President and CEO Craig Kirby sent a message to RVIA members before the Easter holiday weekend. Kirby said he wanted to express his continued belief that consumers’ outdoors interest will drive RV and camping growth.

“Our market forecast shows another strong year for the RV industry,” Kirby said, “and it is being driven by continued consumer demand and replenished inventory at dealerships across North America.”

Challenges will continue, he said, including inflation, supply-chain shortages and world affairs. Kirby said the challenges feel like “a weekly game of whack-a-mole.”

Still, the RVIA president said the RV industry has been able to adapt and innovate.

“I am confident that 2022 will be one of our best years ever,” Kirby said, “and that we will continue to see RV manufacturers, suppliers, dealers and campgrounds work together to meet the ongoing demand for RVs and provide consumers the experience they expect and deserve.”

Kirby said outdoors interest never has been stronger than it is today.

“As spring soon turns to summer, millions of Americans will be getting outdoors again,” he said, “so let’s continue driving consumers towards camping and RVing – and creating authentic experiences they will remember, share with friends and cherish forever.”
