RVIA will host a members-only webinar Sept. 19 on “greenwashing.”

The webinar will be hosted by RVIA’s Sustainability Committee. The event begins at 2 p.m. ET. To register, click here.

Greenwashing is defined by Investopedia as, “The act of providing the public or investors with misleading or outright false information about the environmental impact of a company’s products and operations.”

RVIA said 75% of consumers considering an RV purchase say materials’ sustainability has an impact on their purchase decisions. As more consumers prioritize sustainability in purchases, RVIA said the challenge is how to market a company’s sustainability efforts without greenwashing.

The webinar will teach attendees:

  • What is greenwashing
  • How to avoid greenwashing
  • How to talk about sustainability

The Sustainability Committee, formed this year, serves as the convening body for RV industry sustainability experts to share ideas and best practices, as well as an educational resources for companies looking to increase their sustainability practices.
