RVIA is introducing an advisory panel that will provide RV industry association members with monthly updates on key international trade policy developments within President Joe Biden’s new administration.

The RV Trade Advisory Panel will be the association’s stated method for members to stay updated on latest policy developments. It will also provide opportunity for RVIA to participate in said developments and important industry issues with policy recommendations for the Public and Legislative Affairs Committee.

RVIA noted that individuals who support their companies on tariff questions, supply chains or trade issues are welcome to participate in the panel. The association stated it is seeking information on how trade policy is affecting businesses in their daily activities, which RVIA can use in lobbying efforts and informed recommendations to the Public and Legislative Affairs Committee as it develops trade priorities.

“We foresee this group meeting monthly to provide updates to members on ongoing investigations and RVIA policy priorities such as the Generalized System of Preferences (GSP),” the association stated. “We will also bring in outside trade experts from [Capitol] Hill and the administration for conversations with the panel and offer panel members a chance to bring other trade issues to the Public and Legislative Affairs Committee’s attention.”

Those interested in participating in the RV Trade Advisory Panel are asked to contact [email protected] or [email protected].
