Last week, 114 participating advocates and guides took part in 101 meetings with senators from 27 states and representatives from 54 different districts on issues critical to the growth of the RV industry at Advocacy Day on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. at RVs Move America Week.

The day was organized by RVIA’s Government Affairs team.

The congressional RV Caucus includes 42 House and Senate members who champion RV industry and RV lifestyle causes on Capitol Hill. Caucus members advocate on behalf of the industry on issues such as taxes, trade and campground modernization.

The RV industry has a total economic impact of $140 billion, $73.7 billion of which is generated by RV manufacturers and suppliers and $35.7 billion of which is generated by RV sales and service activities, RVIA said.

The RV industry supports $48 billion in wages and 680,000 jobs. The RV industry’s economic output increased 23% in the last three years, RVIA said.
