Dealers can learn more about using voice, vision and visibility to stay relevant during a SearchLab Digital webinar at 2 p.m. Thursday.
Director of Brand Experience Dane Saville said SearchLab has done only two things since its founding: search engine optimization and pay-per-click services. Saville will lead the webinar.
“We have a really strong automotive background,” Saville said, “but over the past four years have been branching out into other verticals. RVs have been one focus.”
Saville said the company has always worked with small businesses, and understands how to connect businesses with shoppers via online platforms. Saville said the webinar will teach dealers how the online landscape is evolving. He said he will dive into how systems work and offer tips on optimizing websites and content.
“We just did a study of more than 3,000 Google business profiles and I am going to be sharing some of the insights of what separates No. 1-ranked Google business profiles from No. 10-ranked,” Saville said. “I want to give some insights on ways businesses can separate themselves from the pack.”
Saville said the webinar is SearchLab Digital’s effort to better market itself.
“We are a marketing company, but we just finally hired our own marketing director,” Saville said. “She has been putting together a lot of assets for us to take advantage, and one of those is to have an ongoing webinar series.”
Saville said dealers will learn that content depth is more important than content frequency. He will also offer insights on pushing online traffic to a dealer’s inventory pages. He said he will talk about artificial intelligence’s role in an online world.
“The session is probably a little bit more for a marketing director, but I lay things out in layman’s terms,” Saville said. “Even owners who are not digital savvy are going to hear questions that they can ask their digital partners or internal teams to get actionable answers and really understand what is going on with their online presence.”
The webinar presentation is scheduled for 50 minutes with a 10-minute question-and-answer session to follow.
As it expands into the RV industry, SearchLab Digital reached out to dealers in person at the RVDA Convention/Expo. Saville presented much of the same information during a session in Las Vegas.
“I think that increased traffic to our booth in Las Vegas,” Saville said. “There is a lot of misinformation out there. In the digital marketing industry, particularly search engine optimization, there are a lot of snake oil salesmen out there. That has put a bad taste in a lot of RV dealers’ mouths.”
