Camping World Holdings, Inc. is set to acquire Sonny’s RVs in Casper, Wyoming. The two sides agreed to Camping World’s acquisition.
The transaction is anticipated to close in the fourth quarter of 2023.
Sonny’s RVs opened in 1999 on a 3-acre lot and grew to a 15-acre site with a 15,000-square-foot showroom that opened in 2005.
In addition to selling new RVs from Thor Industries and Forest River brands, as well as Grand Design, Sonny’s RVs built a strong RV rental business. Domestic and international travelers visit the Casper area to see the Great Plains and Rocky Mountains intersection, including destinations such as Yellowstone Park, Jackson Hole and the Bighorn Mountains.
Owner and General Manager Mike Rone will remain as the general manager until the transition to Camping World ownership is complete.
With the acquisition, Camping World will increase its Wyoming store count to two.
