Supplier Reveals Power Products, Gunnable Butyl

A Picture of Dicor Surge Protectors

Airxcel is extending its reach into power products with the release of a Dicor Products Power line, including surge protectors. The supplier also unveiled a gunnable butyl rubber sealant. Both products were displayed at Land ‘N’ Sea’s distributor show in Las Vegas last week.

The Dicor Power line includes a 30-amp circuit analyzer plug, a 30-amp pigtail and a 50-amp pigtail, providing varying Joule protection.

The surge protectors are equipped with an automatic shutoff, a surge indicator, diagnostic lights, incorrect wiring fault indicators and a limited lifetime warranty.

  • The 30-amp plug gives consumers 1,050 Joules of surge suppression and is weather resistant.
  • The 30-amp pigtail offers 4,200 Joules of surge suppression, a weather-resistant cover, a metal locking ring to prevent surge protector theft and an included wire brush for maintaining brass prongs.
  • The 50-amp pigtail offers the same features as the 30-amp pigtail but offers 5,000 Joules of surge suppression.

Dicor’s gunnable butyl rubber sealant is a single-component, solvent release butyl-bases sealant. The sealant provides a watertight primary seal between lapping substrates and joints.

The ability to apply the sealant with a gun enables an easier application. The butyl rubber sealant adheres to TPO, EPDM, PVC, glass, metals, aluminum, concrete, wood and some plastics.

The sealant cures to a putty-like consistency. A three-eighths inch bead covers 11 linear feet per tube. A quarter-inch bead covers 24 feet per tube. The sealant is UV-resistant.
