Dometic and Go Power are teaming up to offer a battery-powered air conditioner.

During Elkhart Extravaganza, the air conditioners will be on display at Dometic’s pavilion outside the RV Hall of Fame and Go Power’s booth inside.

The air conditioner runs on 48-volt power and lithium batteries.

Pairing Dometic’s 48-volt air conditioner with Go Power’s PowerBoard and advanced lithium batteries powers the system.

Brent Clark, Dometic’s business development manager, RVO, said: “This joint project between the AC and Go Power! teams to create a product that ensures the customer has what they need to be comfortable off-grid. What we are able to offer now is really a full-circle solution.”

Dometic’s air conditioner features include:

  • Dual power source: The air conditioner operates on battery and solar power, providing RV users with continuous climate control regardless of location or access to electrical hookups.
  • High cooling capacity: With a powerful 48-volt compressor, the 48-volt Air Conditioner by Dometic delivers improved cooling, maintaining interior temperatures even in summer heat.
  • Energy efficiency: Designed with energy conservation in mind, optimized power consumption extends battery lifespan and improves runtime.

Powering the air conditioner are Go Power’s advanced lithium batteries. The system can run the 48-volt air conditioner on battery power alone. Adding solar power and Go Power’s PowerBoard recharges the batteries while off-grid.

Mark Spilsbury, Go Power’s division manager, RV said: “We have heard a need from our Elkhart partners that power systems can be complicated and time-consuming to install. These PowerBoards take the guesswork out of it and drastically shorten the install time,”

PowerBoards are customizable mobile power systems that can be installed in minutes, rather than hours. The PowerBoards are debuting in the 2024 model year. PowerBoards come completely wired and tested.
