The second of two broadcasts spots for Go RVing’s “Go on a Real Vacation” campaign has been released after what RVIA said was a strong opening week of the Wave 2 launch.

The new ad takes RV dreamers on a road trip of real showers, real traffic and real quiet. RVIA said the campaign targets outdoor enthusiasts with at least one child in the household and is designed to appeal to travelers whose vacations by flight or cruise have been put on hold.

The first 30-second spot was seen by more than 110 million viewers, RVIA reported, and garnered more than 7 million impressions on Facebook as well. The ads are airing on a variety of stations including ESPN, NBC Sports, CNN, Fox, MSNBC, Nat Geo Wild, Travel and TLC.

Traffic to GoRVing.com has increased significantly, RVIA sated. It reported unique viewer traffic up 37.2 percent over the previous period, with website sessions and pageviews both up 38 percent.

An overwhelming amount of the web traffic is coming from California, Texas, Florida, Illinois and New York. RVIA said those states accounted for 40 percent of all website sessions. In addition, 86 percent of visitors were new visitors.

The new ad is available to watch on Go RVing’s YouTube channel here.
