Towing equipment supplier Torklift said its TailoredHitch for 16-foot Airstream Basecamps is now available through a limited time presale.

Product features include an estimated 300-pound tongue weight rating at the trailer ball, a stainless-steel receiver and a lifetime warranty.

“This rear hitch solution provides expanded carrying capability while maintaining a clean, secure fit,” the company said. “The TailoredHitch offers owners the opportunity to enhance their trailer’s versatility by adding a 2-inch receiver for hitch accessories such as bike racks, cargo trays and generator platforms.”

Torklift said shipping is projected to begin this Spring.

“Unlike universal hitch options, the TailoredHitch is designed to align with the 16-foot Airstream Basecamp rear bumper structure,” the company said. “This model-specific approach ensures proper integration with the trailer’s design while delivering dependable performance for real-world RV travel.”

Torklift said the new hitch is currently offered at pre-sale pricing for a limited time. Customers who order during the presale window will secure early access ahead of general availability.

Twenty-foot Basecamp Hitch

Owners of 20-foot Basecamps will soon have a similar product available for their model.

Torklift confirms that fitment for the 20-foot Airstream Basecamp has already been validated.

“The TailoredHitch for the 20-foot model is currently in stock and ready to ship, allowing customers to upgrade without delay,” Torklift said. “Owners can order immediately and begin expanding their carrying capacity for bikes, gear and cargo.”
