Renovated RVs and vintage trailers are the main attraction at a new open-air hotel located just outside of Dallas city limits.

The Range Vintage Trailer Resort is targeting a niche audience looking to get away for a weekend and enjoy the luxuries of staying in a hotel without worrying about breaking social distancing rules. The hotel and wedding venue in Bristol, Texas features renovated Airstreams and vintage trailers, and other luxurious amenities across 30 acres that allow for social distancing along the Ennis Bluebonnet Trail.

Owners Sarah and Paul Beauregard are longtime RVers, and are especially passionate about making use of vintage equipment. They announced this week that the Range will open its doors for business starting June 1.

“As Airstream owners ourselves, we wanted to build the space that we craved with a focus on nature, a ton of privacy, and the opportunity for community,” Sarah Beauregard said.

The resort will be open year-round, located just 30 minutes south of Dallas.

Due to COVID-19 precautions, The Range’s vintage trailer rentals are currently available for three-night, Thursday through Sunday stays only, allowing four days for thorough cleaning between guests. Open sites are available every day with minimum two-night stays on weekends. Social areas including the bathhouse, laundry and barn may be limited or closed.

“This land offers something very special and we are incredibly excited to welcome guests to The Range to experience the restoring power of nature,” Sarah said. “If you live and love the Airstream and vintage trailer life, or just want to experience it for a few days, we offer an easy way to enjoy camping and the outdoors with family and friends.”

The Range offers six renovated Airstreams and vintage trailers to rent, and 15 open sites available for guests to bring their own trailers. A cedar timber barn for events, a farm-to-table restaurant and custom Airstream bar are coming soon.

“The vintage camping trailer is an important part of American cultural history, and we want to highlight the craftsmanship of these trailers by restoring and renovating them back to their former glory,” Sarah and Paul said. “We take pride in applying this repurposing philosophy to everything we can and are always seeking new opportunities to think outside the box.”

Each site has private parking, custom-made reclaimed wooden tables and benches, and surroundings that vary from one site to another. No two sites are alike. Currently, 15 sites are reserved for guests to bring their own Airstreams of any year or vintage trailers that are 25 years or older and meet certain criteria.

The nightly rate for rental trailers is $198 plus tax and fees. The nightly rate for open sites is $98 plus tax. The Range Vintage Trailer Resort is located at 325 Slate Rock Road, Bristol, TX 75119.
