Way named Michael Pahud as chief financial officer (CFO) and Elaine Chaffee as the director of human resources.

“I am confident that Mike and Elaine will help us achieve our strategic goals,” Way CEO Wayne Kaylor said. “We are thrilled to welcome both to the growing Way team.”

Way created the CFO position this year to help lead their financial team through continued and rapid growth, the company said.

Way is building an 800,000-square-foot headquarters in Elkhart, Indiana. The new facility will open in late 2022.

Pahud’s responsibilities include monitoring cash flow, financial planning, analyzing the company’s financial strengths/weaknesses and proposing strategic directions, the company said.

Pahud’s previous experience includes distribution, transportation, manufacturing, engineering, architecture, technology and service.

He brings a vital understanding of how to help organizations grow and thrive, Way said.

“When I began to learn more about Way, I was amazed that such a significant success story was not more well known,” Pahud said. “Our team’s customer focus and entrepreneurial spirit in serving our customers, innovating new products and overcoming obstacles every day as we grow are rare. You can sense how special Way is when you walk in the door, and I am very fortunate to be a part of such a great team.”

Chaffee will oversee HR systems, employee relations, budgets, staffing needs, hiring employees and designing training programs.

The new HR director has over 25 years in human resource-related roles, including time in the RV industry and automotive, plastics, personal care and pharmaceutical/packaging.

“I was impressed with the Way leadership team and how much growth had already occurred within a short time since startup over the last 15 years,” Chaffee said. “The continued growth, a new facility move soon, the opportunity to implement HR structure, upgrade benefits and maintain culture are all reasons I was intrigued by this opportunity. This is a critical time for Way’s recruitment, retention and overall employee engagement. I am excited to help lead the human resources team.”
