Webinar Addresses Dealer Tax Planning

Tax planning

RVDA has partnered with Morgan Stanley to host a webinar on tax planning at noon CST Feb. 2. Registration is open here.

For many dealers, RVDA said, tax planning ends when the clock strikes midnight on Dec. 31 and most will not revisit their tax plan until December the following year. Speakers Brad Stanek, Steven Blake and Jane Saxon will teach attendees how to shift from being tax-reactive to tax-proactive, to avoid making the same mistakes and plan better for 2022.

The webinar is designed for individuals who scramble to make year-end decisions to reduce their tax burden, struggle to keep up with new tax laws that impact the dealership, and worry about losing profits due to poor tax planning.

Brad Stanek, Morgan Stanley financial advisor, focuses on helping RV dealers with financial independence from the dealership. Stanek works closely with dealers to build out succession and exit plans. Over 90% of Stanek’s day is spent working with RV dealers, where over the last five years he has helped over 150 dealerships.

Jane Saxon, principal of Somerset CPAs, focuses on tax compliance and planning for dealerships. She has expertise in financial and strategic consulting services, budget and projection preparation and accounting system design. Saxon has a technical tax and consulting background, enabling her to evaluate client needs and make recommendations.

Steve Blake, principal of Somerset CPAs, assists entrepreneurs with tax, consulting, and mergers and acquisitions. He assists clients with long-term strategic goal setting and implementation. He has a background in public accounting and as a tax attorney.
