
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has issued the following recalls:
CRUISER RV
Axle May Not Provide Enough Clearance
A damaged tire may blowout, increasing the crash risk.
Potential Number of Units Affected: 10
Cruiser is recalling certain 2025 Avenir travel trailers. The underslung axle may not provide enough clearance, enabling the wheel wells to contact and damage the tires.
Dealers will replace the underslung axle, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed Oct. 30. Owners may contact Cruiser customer service at 574-206-7920.
FORD MOTOR CO.
Blank or Distorted Rearview Camera Image
A rearview camera that displays an inverted, distorted or blank image can reduce the driver’s view behind the vehicle, increasing the crash risk.
Potential Number of Units Affected: 1,456,417
Ford is recalling certain 2015-2019 Lincoln MKC, Mustang, F-350 SD, F-250 SD, F-450 SD, 2015-2017 Lincoln Navigator, Expedition, 2015-2018 Edge, Transit Connect, 2016-2019 F-550 SD, Transit, 2017-2019 Econoline, and 2019 Ranger vehicles. The rearview camera may display a distorted, inverted or blank image when the vehicle is in reverse.
Dealers will inspect and replace the rearview camera as necessary, free of charge. Interim letters notifying owners of the safety risk are expected to be mailed Sept. 22. Additional letters will be mailed once the remedy is available. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 866-436-7332. Ford’s number for this recall is 25S89. This recall expands previous NHTSA recall number 25V270. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall are searchable on NHTSA.gov.
JAYCO, INC.
Incorrect GAWR on Label
The trailer may be accidentally overloaded after referencing the incorrect information, increasing the crash risk.
Potential Number of Units Affected: 75
Jayco is recalling certain 2026 Seismic fifth wheel travel trailers. The certification label lists an incorrect gross axle weight rating (GAWR). As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of 49 CFR Part 567, “Certification.”
Jayco will mail corrected labels, free of charge. Owner letters are expected to be mailed Oct. 3. Owners may contact Jayco customer service at 800-283-8267. Jayco’s number for this recall is 9901638.
STORYTELLER OVERLAND
Improperly Routed Wires in Auxiliary Power System
Damaged wire may overheat and short, increasing the fire risk.
Potential Number of Affected Units: 61
Storyteller Overland is recalling certain 2024-2026 GXV Hilt RVs. The auxiliary power system wires may have been improperly routed. The wires may be damaged by contact with the intake manifold.
Dealers will inspect, replace and secure the wires as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed Nov. 4. Owners may contact Storyteller customer service at 888-999-7442.
