Black Book’s latest monthly report indicated wholesale motorhomes sales prices increased in December from the previous month.

The January 2023 Black Book RV Market Commentary said the average motorhome sales price rose 10.4% from November to $68,565.

Towables sales prices, meanwhile, fell in December from the previous month.

“The average sales prices for motorhomes and towables sold at wholesale auctions were mixed last month,” said Eric Lawrence, principal analA picture of Black Book Motorhome Graph January 202yst – specialty markets. “However, the average age of the towables stayed constant while the average motorhome was two years newer than those sold last month, which would more than likely explain their unexpected increase at this time of year.”

The average motorhome model year sold in December was 2011. The average sales price of $68,565 fell 13% from December 2021.

The average towable model year sold in December was 2016. The average sales price in December of $18,529 was 8.2% below the November 2022 sales price and 13% below the December 2021 sales price.

Motorhome auction volume rose 3.1% in December from the previous month. Towable auction volume was nearly flat, up 0.1% from November 2022.
